How to: Draw a filled shape in Excel.
Solution:
Select the drawing object. Select 'Object...' from the 'Format' menu, then click the 'Patterns' tab. Select options for the fill and pattern from the 'Fill' group.
NOTE: The following shapes can be filled: ellipses, rectangles, arcs, and polygons.
1) Select the drawing object to be filled.
2) Select the 'Format' menu and select 'Object...'. (The Format Object dialog box appears.)
3) Click the 'Patterns' tab.
4) Select a fill pattern from the 'Patterns' group.
5) Click 'OK'.
